4. The Nation writes: The GOP's attack on voting rights was the most under-covered story of 2016. This was the first presidential election in 50 years without the full protections of the Voting Rights Act.

 

Trump was elected by a little more than a quarter of eligible voters — a lot of Americans don't vote. What a difference 2 percentage points makes.
