Modern 32-inch TVs come with energy-saving LED screens or CFL backlight. 32-inch TVs with 720p resolutiuion is alomost equivalent to 1080 display in larger size TVs. Other things like refresh rates and oversize audio are only tricks to charge bigger sticker price.

The ideal small TV are affordable and come with plenty of big TV like features - HDMI etc.
