[From the 100 Ways To Be Being Remarkable Series, a special project that brings you business and self-development advice from The Success Manual. ]

The show is the Americanized version of his UK series, where he campaigned for healthy food in British schools, focusing on prevention of child obesity. The main lessons form the TV show as well as the book are simple:

1. Cook Good food from scratch:
The book covers a wide range of dishes from breakfast to dinner, inspired by the best food from the East and the West.
2. Good food for your kids, family and friends starts with home cooking (not fast food and take away dinners).
3. Once in a while indulgence in home cooking is okay: Jamie includes some recipies he admits are not really healthy but the overall objective is to get people cooking at home and eating fewer processed foods.
