By now you must have heard about Rob Glaser stepping down as head of Real Networks, the maker of that video player that no one in his/her right mind uses anymore.
As is normal with the mainstream 'rewrite the press release' media, everyone is talking about the so-called 'stand up to Microsoft' legacy of Glaser. No one talks about how invasive Realvideo player really is. Once you install it, it also installs malwares, which software companies smartly call 'updaters' etc.
The Stop Badware website calls RealPlayer one of the most invasive malware software ever.
