More than 260 people were detained across Russia as jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny's supporters staged protest rallies on Vladimir Putin's 65th birthday. Mr. Navalny has won a substantial following in Russia with his investigations into government corruption. Although these arrests won't do much to break Putin's stronghold, issues like Siberian Regionalism would upset them more.
