The Car Accidents Stats site informs us that,

There were nearly 6,420,000 auto accidents in the United States in 2005. The financial cost of these crashes is more than 230 Billion dollars. 2.9 million people were injured and 42,636 people killed. About 115 people die every day in vehicle crashes in the United States -- one death every 13 minutes.


When we talk about safe driving we mean driving that saves the driver and others on the road too.

THE TWO-SECOND RULE
The two-second rule is a rule of thumb intended to maintain a safe following distance when driving.

The rule is that a driver should ideally try to stay at least two seconds behind any vehicle that is immediately in front of the driver's vehicle.
It is intended for automobiles, although it is a general principle.


The Best way to hold the steering wheel is the 10-10 clock position.
