Comedy Central Cancels ‘The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore’ For Not Being Funny and Popular Enough

On August 16, 2016 By pramitsingh Topic: Television

A News opinion/comedy show getting cancelled in one of America's most polarising election season of all time. That tells you everything. To the core 18-34 year audience, maybe Wilmore with his one-note 'every one is a racist'  brand of comedy wasn't 'entertaining' enough.

Larry Wilmore joins Arsenio Hall, Chris Rock, Sykes, and W. Kamau Bell, people who failed in efforts to make a dent in the 'white-guy dominated' late night show business.

‘The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore' averaged about 776,000 viewers a night, compared to 1.7 million average viewers for Colbert Report, which the Nightly News replaced.
