Be Remarkable #86: Turn things off

On October 25, 2016 By thesuccessmanual Topic: Remarkable

Do not let technology overtake your life. Help, yes. But dependent? Never. Although, I run a small site for a living (if you can call it a living), I can easily cut down on online activity and go back to my books, printouts and notebooks on demand. Last time around, I lived for 5 months in a village and I did not miss a thing.

Can you live without email for a weekend?
Is Facebook status update that necessary?
Must you Tweet what everyone is Tweeting?
Aren't tired of all that TV - all that scripted programming?
Does that SMS enrich your life?
Aren't you tired of the news cycle, all that breaking noise?

Just be able to turn things off once in a while, and take in the real world.
