Annals of Fascists: Turkey's Erdogan takes legal action after lawmaker calls him 'fascist dictator'

Responding like a fascist dictator, President Tayyip Erdogan filed a criminal complaint against a prominent opposition lawmaker, the spokesman for the main opposition Republican People's Party, Bulent Tezcan,who said there was a "Fearful atmosphere" in Turkey.

Erdogan has a history of pressuring the oppposition. In the past 10 years, lawyers for Erdogan have filed more than 1,800 cases against people including cartoonists, a former Miss Turkey winner and school children on accusations of insulting him.
