Ah, the eternal business sucecss story, to build a business from scratch. It takes a lot of things for this to happen - the idea, resources, the motivation, the planning, ...and luck. Whether or not you have all these things at hand, some things you must do step by step:
Step 1: Have a clear vision, purpose and a set of core values (why do it after all? Just for money?).
Step 2: Now, assess everything - yourself, your startup, the industry, the competition...
- aka the SWAT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threat)
Step 3: Now list your strategies, tactics, and more importantly what value you are creating
Start with how uniquely (thus the acronym USP - Unique Selling proposition) are you solving the pain of your customer and making a profit while doing it.
Step 4: Execute the plan
It is all about taking little steps.
