The best kind of self-help advice gets us to do things. Positive things. Life-affirming things. The best tkind of self-help advice encourages us - simple words that motivates us to forge ahead in this 'dying life.' Instruction does much, but encouragement everything. So, Ignore the self-help gurus. Most of them are self-promoting charlatans. If no one is around to give some words of encouragement, talk to yourself: For example, "If I got here without any help, I can go further."
