In an unflattering report, United Kingdom Members of Parliament slammed the universities in the country for failing to safeguard degree standards. Members of House of Commons' Universities and Skills Committee in their report concluded that the current quality ensuring system is obsolete and should be replaced as inconsistency in standards is widespread.
