Post Phone World #1: Kill off The News Feed

On October 30, 2017 By newsroom Topic: Social Media

Facebook started as a tool to share and look at images shared by your circle of friends. In 2017, it has deteriorated to a place where your feed is polluted with great opinions of your friends and clickbait news articles pushed by desperate news publishers, in collusion with Facebook.

The effect: Rather than talking to people and thinking things through, you keep taking out your phone and look at the feed, where you are staring transfixed, at a world of distorted reality and socially / psychologically toxic opinions.

The news feed needs to die, writes TechCrunch's Romain Dillet.
