Did you know that Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere? Now it is hit by an earthquake that may have killed thousands. The coutry has had a rather sad recent history of recent earthquakes that have killed many and leaving many homeless.
You can view photos of some of the damage caused by the earthquake.
