In a sweeping move that has far reaching implication for medical education system in the country, a task force of the Union Health Ministry has taken a bold and drastic decision to dispense with all the regulatory bodies, namely Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India, Pharmacy Council and the Nursing Council. The move is aimed at stemming the rot in the system.
