In the wake of the of the arrest of an AICTE official on bribery charges, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today appealed to the public that if any one has any information on AICTE officials’ involvement in corruption regarding granting of recognition to institutions, they should come forward and report it. Recently, the CBI arrested one member secretary of the AICTE and registered a case against its chairman under Prevention of Corruption Act.
