Two stories the New York Times and Crunchgear suggest that these are early days still for Amazon's e-book reader Kindle. Crunchgear says the present Kindle model is not so useful for students. Reasons? - Weak body not ready for heavy-duty student roughing - non-intuitive interface makes it difficult to bookmark/earmark pages for research and reference - wifi? - no SD slot for taking backups The New York Times points to loyalty issues for authors. The Times says that Amazon Kindle can read aloud books, so what happens to royalties for authors?
