| Can a blog criticize big business and later take ad money from it and show nothing had changed afterwards. That is a challenge the guys at BoingBoing group blog face now. For long, BoingBoing has championed for fair online rights on behalf of internet users, bringing to light unfair practices by ISPs, cable companies, and other stars of Big Business. Comcast was a big company that BoingBoing often took to task for its practices. This Gawker post writes about a BoingBoing post inviting users to judge the blog's entry into a virtual-world contest. Name of the virtual world: Comcast Town. Reading from tone of the Gawker post, maybe, people were all hoping for virtual characters named after the Lobbyists and Lawyers Comcast uses to throttle the little internet user. |
