Chirag Chamoli comes up with an interesting list of  Indians who hog the mindspace for being famous than doing something famous, the nine overrated people in India, which this writer has expaned to 13. [the notes alongside all entries are mine]

Gandhi Family: Dynasty comes first, dynasty is the best
Amitabh Bachchan: Still making money for the 70s hits
Mayawati: Benefitting from the lower caste surge employing tactics perfected by the upper caste types
Chetan Bhagat: Writer of silly, shallow lad -lit
Big Media Houses: Believe only they are right to be right
Lalu Prasad Yadav: Says much, does little, good at media manipulation
Sanjay Bhansali: Makes obscenely lavish, outlandish films in a country of poor people
Ram Dev (Baba/Swami): Is he a politician? Or, a doctor?
Navjot Singh Sidhu: Does not let anyone else talk. Does not stop with that hideous laugh either.
