Bighow News distils the daily news for you - creating instantly digestible, fast, informative takes on the big issues, news and current events of the day.

Bighow News is a human-edited news filter - we focus on news that is important for you, why you should care, and what's next.

2.How did Bighow start?

When it was launched in October 2007, Bighow was a multi-purpose platform and tool for sharing news, classifieds and listings - think of it as 'Wordpress (blogging) + Del.icio.us (bookmarking) + Craigslist (local information)'.

Its founder Pramit Singh, a media blogger from New Delhi, intended to build a team of 100-or so curators who would sift through the internet, looking for the best stuff to share.

Presently, a small group of news writers curate the news, write the occasional cute list-story, and do all the online news curating stuff.

Future: We plan to develop a 100-city network of online journalists, editors and web curators who will collaborate to filter all useful information on the Internet on a daily basis.

To help fund Bighow, we sell The Success Manual, a unique compilation of business and self-help advice.

To be a exercise in knowledge, whatever that means.

Bighow is managed by Pramit Singh. He is the Managing Editor. The backend work is done by developer Joydeep Bhattacharya.

So far, we have manage to agree that Bighow stands for 'how big online publishing really is'. Some have suggested more news-like meanings, for example, 'big news story, how?'
